Health Media Lab creates interactive health education for people of all ages. Research and development is supported by private funding and by grants from the National Institutes of Health (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services), including the National Cancer Institute, the National Heart, Lung & Blood Institute, the National Institute of Child Health & Human Development, the National Institute of Nursing Research, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the National Institute on Aging, and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Founded in 1994, we are based in Washington, DC, with consultants and contributors throughout the United States.

We currently offer these SBIR-funded online courses:

  • Alzheimer's Association Training for Team Leaders in Dementia Care Settings
  • Food Safety Training for Food Handlers
  • Introduction to Early Child Care Routines
  • AAHSA Nurse LEAD: Leadership and Enrichment Development for Long Term Care Nurses

As part of its desire to expand into online learning, in 2004, Health Media Lab formed a partner corporation, Accel e-Media, created specifically to develop, create, sell, and market Web-based learning tools for adults. Learn more at www.accelemedia.com.
